Sometimes our Twitter account accumulates a lot of tweets. There are a lot of re-tweets of our posts in our account. Sometimes ten tweets of same posts exist in our accounts or simply we cross a large number of tweets, we might want to delete all twitter tweets.
Sometimes we use some automatic tools for re-tweeting our posts and within a short time there are thousands of tweets in our account. The number within days rises to ten thousand and more. The number looks good, but if a person goes about to see the tweets made, he is bound to see most of the same tweets. Does it look good? Not according to me! So is there a way to delete all our tweets at once?
Twitter doesn’t provide an option to delete all tweets at once. There is an external application available for doing this. An application called TwitWipe allows us to delete all our account tweets at once. Isn’t that good? Well it is not always recommended to delete all the tweets, but due to some reason if you decide to do so, you can make use of this great application!
How To Use This (TwitWipe) Application?
1.) Visit TwitWipe Login page.
2.) In the right there is an option to grant access to TwitWipe application. Click on the link given there. Authenticate your account.
3.) After the second step, at the same place where the grant access to TwitWipe application link appeared, there will now be a link named “Start Wiping”. Click on Start Wiping.
4.) It will now ask you to confirm your decision. There are two options “Yeah!” or “No!!” If you have decided to delete all tweets click on Yeah or if you don’t want to delete your tweets, you can click on No and go back always!
Once you’ve started wiping tweets, you can stop the process in middle by clicking on the “STOP IT!” link.
That’s it! Wasn’t this an interesting tip? Hope you enjoyed reading it? Please do comment and let us know your views on the article!
NOTE: This site worked for us when we tried using it. Please try the service at your own risk. We don’t guarantee or can help on any problems or technical issues arising due to TwitWipe. You are always welcome to ask for help!
UPDATE:
We’ve seen a lot of complaints about the present app mentioned in this post. In case the app isn’t working for you, you can try another application – TwitLan
Do let us know if the new site worked for you.
Why the fuck would I want to do that?
TwitWipe is a tool to wipe or delete all your tweets in one go. You may need to do this to start over, to clean it out before handing the account over to another party, or whatever.
Why not just delete the account and create a new one?
Doing so will create a new user id (the numeric id). It's essentially a separate account. Using TwitWipe lets you keep all your authentication and third aparty app connections active, so you don't need to sign in to different sites all over again!
How long does it take?
If you’ve got a lot of tweets (like my 22,000+), this can take a really long time. Add to that the Twitter API limitation (currently 150 per hour) which will allow for a maximum of 30,000 statuses to be deleted per hour. If I TwitWipe my account, it should take a little under an hour! But I'm not known for my math skills, so...
If you get disconnected or any other interruption occurs, you can simply come back here and start wiping again. TwitWipe will delete whatever is remaining.
Is there a way to get them all back?
What is this, a "Get your ex back" scam website? Nope. You can't get your tweets back. Not right now. Once TwitWipe has deleted the tweets, they’re gone for good.
What else can TwitWipe do?
Nothing else for now.
Any other bright ideas? Tweet me: @aalaap or @TwitWipe.
